Spaghetti With a Purpose: More Than a Meal

Can a simple plate of spaghetti change a life?

That might sound silly but, here at Merea Ministry we have learned that God often uses the small, ordinary things: a warm meal, a kind word, a safe space, to do extraordinary and eternal work.

Our mission isn't just to meet needs. We don't exist just to hand out resources and say, "Good luck out there." Our mission is to point women and families to the Wonderful Counselor, the One who restores, redeems and renews. Everything we do flows out of that calling.

That's why our upcoming Spaghetti Fundraiser is about so much more than pasta. Each plate may look like an ordinary meal, but in God's hands, it becomes a tool, a way to extend His love, remind someone they're not forgotten and help us continue the eternal work of leading people to Christ.

Jesus didn't call us to sit on our holy hineys and hope someone else will answer the call. He calls us to feed the hungry, lift up the brokenhearted, and yes even "clothe the nakey." At Merea, we take that call seriously, because we know every act of service points people to the One who saves.

At the end of the day, this isn't about spaghetti. It's about saying 'yes" to Jesus. Every plate you pick up fuels the mission of pointing people to Him and that my friends is a purpose no meal could ever measure up to.
